Good morning/afternoon/evening to all who may be reading this! I would like to add here a few words on one of my favorite coffee shops on the mid Peninsula in the town I currently reside in with my wife. The place is Plantation Coffee Roastery located at 784 Laurel Street, in downtown San Carlos. The 700 block of Laurel also happens to be the block dedicated to foot traffic only in the very busy downtown corridor of Laurel Street. The owners of Plantation, Young and Soon Cheong, who have owned the business going on 29 years, have built for them a reputation that is stellar! They are two of the most dedicated and hardest working people I have met in my life! I have met many, especially my own parents, and they exemplify a sincere dedication to their customers and their products. The coffee, which is roasted on site is always delicious, whether you are seeking an Espresso coffee beverage or just their regular "House Blend". The time and dedication to this small "Mom & Pops" operation they show and the dedication toall their customers and some who are "regulars" sometimes makes me think back on the way things used to be "back in the day"....easy going and comfortable, but with a sincere desire to work hard and treat all with respect, something I find lacking in this day and age of everyone being in a hurry to get done what one needs to get done! Take the time, no matter what time of day and come in and enjoy the ambiance of this quality run business, which also has fine pastries, killer bagel sandwiches and even ice cream! You can find Soon there every morning early, opening the shop by 5am Monday-Friday and by 5:30am on weekends! Do yourself a favor and check this spot out and I guarantee you will ALWAYS FEEL BETTER when you leave! A visit to Plantation on Laurel Street in San Carlos is sure to please all, no matter what you choose to eat or drink! Come see for yourself!

I love this place! Coffee is always fresh and tasty. Every single menu is so delicious here. You should try their bagel sandwiches. They use a real egg and the quality is so good. Even the price is 1-2 dollars cheaper than other coffee shops. The owners are so nice. Sue knows what customers want and need. The place is always clean and super cozy. One more, their gelato is amazing too. Much cheaper than other gelato store but mmm~~yummy!!

I have celiac disease, so I get the açaí bowl without granola very tasty, but sometimes a little liquidy. Their iced lattes are good, but they're strong so if you don't like strong, I wouldn't recommend.
